Welcome.  My name is Lesley Dearn.

I'm an artist living and working in South Wales.

I was asked to be Artist in Residence at Porthcawl's 'Jazz on the Sands' Festival 2015.

This eclectic group of studies is the experimental and playful result, and can be seen in my current exhibition at The Grand Pavilion Café Bar, Porthcawl between 8th March and 8th May 2016.

I'm returning to be the Artist in Residence at the Porthcawl Jazz Festival 2016, 22 - 24 April.

My main interest is in drawing and painting people; portraits, figures and the nude in oil, charcoal and chalk.

Living by the sea I also draw inspiration from the  coastline , the seascapes allow me to explore and experiment, looking at light and energy and movement, all elements I like to bring to my figurative work.

If you would like to comment or enquire about buying any of the pieces please email me on: This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it.

I also have my own website http://www.lesleydearn.co.uk please have a look.

I hope you enjoy my work. Below is a sample of my work.
